I saw a couple Vari-X II's (3-9X 40mm) for sale on ebay. One of them sold for $215 the other day. There's a couple on there now for about $185 USED. That doesn't include shipping ($10). There is a shop here that had them for $175 NEW.
Some of these ebay folks crack me up. They'll pay more on there for something used than it costs new.
Moral of the story...check the price of an object before you buy it on EBAY...LOL

No doubt, Ruger. I've seen more than one hosing on EBAY...and I always feel like e-mailing the bidders and telling them that they're getting screwed. LOL Guess I'll never make a salesman.

Pro-Line Maybe I shouldn't say this. I don't want to offend anybody. Oh well! Sorry if I do. If you are a honest person you'll never be a saleman or lawyer. LOL. Ruger Redhawk

EBAY is a seller's market. I know because I've done well on it. However, if you do your homework and your patient you can snag a deal or two. Hunting, fishing and golf items are always hot. A lot of sporting good stores put their overstock and clearance stuff on there. The most important thing to remember is don't get caught up in the auction and convince yourself you have to win it. That leads to stories like Pro-line is telling us about.
