I just got this also to clean the bore of my new (old) rifle. I know I am posting alot, but I need help that I can't get anywhere else. Can you all tell me how good of a cleaner it is for bores and does it have any potential to cause harm to the bore? Thanks
It is also listed on the label as a conditioner also. What does that mean?

I use hoppes for light cleaning and at the range, for the deep cleaning at the end of the season and after range sessions I'll clean the powder residue with hoppes and the run a few patches of the SC and viola no copper fouling. Read the directions on the label and don't let it sit in the barrel too long.

I use Shooters Choice MC#7 and have for many years and it does a great job. I use Shooters Choice Copper Solvent also and it is a very good copper remover.

There are several EXCELLENT solvents, and Shooter's Choice is one of them!! It just doesn't smell near as nice as Hoppe's, but it gets things cleaner faster! I see no indication that it has harmed any of my guns' bores!

If you remove the Shooter's Choice with a dry patch after cleaning, and then swab out your gun with Hoppes No. 9 next, you have the best of both worlds. A clean gun that SMELLS like a gun is supposed to smell!
