A 700 semi auto makes as much sense as a deer with two broken front shoulders that runs and runs.

The 30.06 is a great caliber and will do all you ask of it and then some. I have two good handloads worked up for mine, one is a Hornady 130grn Spire Point the other is a Speer 150grn Spitzer, and either will do a number on deer.

IT was typo the model 7400 i mesed up jeez an the deer shoulder thing is true no lie
