Big Country, The loads you sent, what kind of velocity were they producing?3" high at 100 would probably be on at around what 350-400? what is your fav of the ones you've tried?

My own 300ultramags produce 3375fps and 3395fps with 180gr ballistic tips which puts them at a zero of about 325 yards with a sight in of 3" high at 100 yards.Bullets such as the partition which have a lower ballistic co-efficient will be zeroed at about 300 yards with a sight in of 3" high at 100 yards. Many rifles produce right around 3300fps with 180gr bullets which would result in a zero of less than 300 yards with the same sight in.

spl, my favorite depends on the situation. My Nolser Partition load is my load I use for all hunting situations and has not failed me. My 190gr matchking load for all long range target. I would like to get the accubonds and Triple X load really refined. I thought about replacing my hunting loads to one of these if I can get .7MOA or better out of these two. Still working on my seating depth of these two.
Velocities for Nosler 180g Partition 93gr H1000:3150fps, not as fast as factory but I don't care too much

Do yall think going w/ the Senduro version would be worth the extra money as far as performance goes? It weighs more, has a heavier barrel and a little tougher stock compared to the BDL SS SYN. Should it be more accurate or something ?

I should have mentioned i am going to put my Zeiss 3x12x56 Diavari Z scope w/ ballastic reticle On this rifle. And I will be attempting some very long shootng distances, Thats why I was asking about the Senduro.

With proper loads the sendero will be be up to the task of long range shots on game. Having a long range gun however will not make you a long range shooter. To be able to consistantly place shots accurately at 400yards or 500 yards you will have to invest a great deal of time and ammunition practising your shooting at 400yards and 500 yards. If you you are not willing to do this it won't matter what gun you use.

Howdy. I'm shooting the 180 grain Nosler Partition with 95 grains of H1000 and getting an inch to inch and a half group at 100 yards (three shot group). It's quite capable of minute of angle accuracy.
I added a break and it came with a very good recoil pad (Rem 700 BDL).

spl1,
I ordered a 300 ultra mag Sendero yesterday. I am going with the Zeiss 4.5 X 14 Conquest. I was planning on going with a 7MM Mag, but I had lunch with a custom gun maker and a guide yesterday and they convinced me that the 300 RUM was the way to go.

I spoke w/ a gun smith that owns both a .300 RUM BDL and a sendero .338 RUM and he said the .300 with a muzzle brake has more recoil than the .338 sendero Without !!Granted, The Sendero is more money But , I am going on his recommendation and getting the .300 RUM SS Sendero. And the new ones ship w/ the new R3 recoil pad by Sims Vib labs. As a matter of fact, I ordered one today!!
