Peyman, Re: the .300 VS the 7MM magnums.....

I consider their performance for non dangerous game out to ranges of 400 yards (for those that can shoot that well.....I can't) to be identical regardless of what the numbers on graphs show. I add the .30-06 in there as well. The differences in these three cartridges is about the same as the difference between using a .22 hornet and a .22-250 on a squirrel......both are totally adequate for the job without hesitation.....both are immensely overkill for the task at hand.

Furthermore, using a .25-06 on that squirrel won't do a better job at all.....dead is dead.
