where can you get actions?

where can you get actions?

I'm wanting to build a custom 22-243 middlestead on a sako with a shilen barrel but i can not find the action. Does anyone know where i could one or any action for that matter without haveing to buy a gun just to use the action!!!!! Thanks

I have found and bought quite a few actions through the Shotgun News.

Most actions I've used are the result of buying a cheap gun and scrapping the stock and barrel......they usually have little value.

Charles Daley sells just actions. These are Mauser actions not Sako. You or your favorite FFL might want to try to contact a Beretta, Sako or Tikka distributor on the possibility of obtaining an action only.

Sako sells just actions. Any dealer should be able to order one for you. Wholesale price for the action alone is in the $350.00 range. Any dealer should be able to order you one from a number of different distributors.
