Default RE: synthetic stocks

I put a Bell and Carson synthetic stock purchased from Cabela's for about $150 on my BAR Browning. I've had it on for about three years and had no problems. The cost to replace the wood butt stock only for the BAR is over $200 from Browning. The stock broke while riding on the gun rack on the ATV. I will never buy another long gun with a wood stock. I know several BAR owners who have had problems with the wood butt stock. By the way, the replacement stock is an excellent fit.

Tracker,
How much do you want to spend? If $ is no object go with the McMillan. H-S Precision, or Bell & Carlson would be my next choice.

Bo,
You can order a McMillan directly. Go to their web site. www.mcmillan.com
H-S Precision stocks are available through Natchez Shooters Supply, and I think Midway might have them also.
