Well they went and did it. I have ignored the new Short Mags until now. I just read in the new Guns and Ammo that in 2004 Winchester will bring out the 25 WSM. They are loading three loads for it in the supreme line. 85 GR, 115 gr and 120 gr. The hype says it will equal the velocity of the 25-06 with less recoil. The OLC will be 2.36 inches. Finally we quarter bore lovers have something new to get excited about. Its on my list already. I may put one on order Friday when I go to Fargo. Maybe the 260 SM will be next.

This is the one I have been waiting for. It should be a real hunter with the new Accubond bullets as well as the Barnes Tripple Shock. I don't know why I am so partial to the 25's I quess good long range potential and low recoil. IMO the are a much better dual purpose cartridge than the 6MM's.

My Gunsmith has been building quite a few 6.5 wsm's for hunters and according to him are very accurate and the recoil is pleasant...

That will be my second SM.
