The only thing that I liked about my 710 was the fact that Remington agreed to exchange it for me, even up, for a new 700 ADL. I was really impressed with their customer service and will continue to buy their firearms.

I see a couple here don't like the 597's. I bought a new 597 22mag a few years ago, and it's been great. It's accurate and doesn't jam.
I was thinking of getting one in 22lr, what's the problems with the 597????

If you aren't looking for a really expensive gun, I think the 710 is a good gun. I don't shoot a whole lot, and the 710 in .270 works very well for me. I hunt with my guns and I don't look a for a really pretty gun, but it is important for the gun to be accurate. From what I have seen of my model 710, it is very accurate and it works well for it's purpose: hunting. I like the fiberglass stock because it is really hard to scratch and ding. I hope this helps somebody make a choice on the right gun.
