i am just curious... i know the gun is chambered in the 3 inch shell. since it was bought by my late grandfather in 1966 do you think it is wise in using 3inch shells still in it?
i use 2.75 slugs and was thinking on using 3 inch 00 premiere buckshot in it. gun is in good condition.

Quilly, if it is chambered for 3" shells and is in good shape, there should be no problems in using 3" shells.
I would think that the slugs would be harder on the barrel than any shot shell would be.
