Id have long ago just purchased a MEC 10 ga reloader, at the price they quote you pay for the press in less than 125 shells
blanks are easy, just load corn meal instead of birdshot in the shot cup, a little trial and error with the faster powders will get you a loud gunshot and as long as your not close to the muzzle the ejected corn meal and shot cup very rapidly loose inertia

I remember when I owned an Ithaca Mag-10 and started reloading for it. Saved me a bunch of money. One year I decided I was going to use it for doves to practice for the upcoming waterfowl season (Yea a bit of overkill) . I loaded a few boxes with #8 shot. The first time I shot them I had to laugh. All those little #8 pellets looked like a swarm of gnats heading for the doves at Mach 1 !. On a direct hit there wasn't too much left of the doves unless they were out about 50 or 60 yards. I decided it was a waste of a good eating bird and stopped doing it.

This is an option for you FM. It's a little pricey, but they don't make them for 10 gauge anymore. It might be easier than finding 10 gauge blanks. You can get creative with your loads. Every thing you need accept for hulls, primers, wads, and powder is in the box.
When I got into reloading, I made some very accurate .270 Winchester loads with the lee loader. It is a very easy process.
