CVA Scout
I've always liked single shot rifles. I had Ruger #1s and Encores in the past and I'm starting to get the itch again. I see CVA has several variations of its Scout line. I a seriously considering getting one in SS/black in either .45-70 or 35 Whelen like the one in the link below.

I'm leaning toward the .45-70 because I already have cases and dies. But I did have a '98 Mauser several years ago in 35 Whelen and that thing could shoot. Has anyone had any experience with this rifle?

bronko that would be a great choice in the 2 calibers . i have a cva hunter in the 45-70 with a leupold 3x9 scope on it & either use the hornady bullet but i like using the barnes 300 grain hollow point bullet . also thinking about getting the 350 legend in the scout rifle . already have a 450 bushmaster in a traditions single shot.
