Don't you just hate when this happens?

This happened last weekend while shooting my 300 Win Mag Encore pistol at 100 yards.
First shot - Good grip, slowly exhale, slowly squeeze-squeeze-squeeze trigger, BOOM!, hit the bullseye.
Second shot - Good grip, slowly exhale, slowly squeeze-squeeze-squeeze trigger, BOOM!, right through the first hole on the bullseye. Nice!
Third shot - Good grip, slowly exhale, slowly squeeze-squeeze-jerk-BOOM! Dang it!!! Pulled the shot, had a flier. And I was doing so well!

Should have quit at two.

Shooting 600 with the daughter banging the gong. Me with one of the .30-06's. Her with her handy dandy .243 pappy built for her several years back. Me shooting, first shot, boom, clank. Second shot, boom, clank, third shot, boom, thunk! Yanked the dang trigger and centered the right side cable holding the damn gong! Coat hanger to tha rescue! Dang girl shot my eyes out that day. 40 rounds all on the plate

HA! She's been my better for quite some time now Clem. I aint ashamed to admit it at all! I'm still more consistent at 800 and out but only because she doesn't shoot that distance enough to be better than me. She doesn't have enough "rifle" for that range really. My bench guns are way too much LOP for her to get properly set. She's the runt of the litter. Her little .243 is a hunting rifle with a lightweight varmint contour Shilen barrel and a walnut stock I cut just perfect for her size. Fits her like a fine leather glove. All 5 of the kids are pretty sporty with rifles but my youngest little runt outshines each and every one of them.

Yep, pisses me off big time...I have rebarreled, pillar bedded, replaced or tuned trigger, added pressure to the barrel, free floated and of course switched ammo again and again and now finally, have bought another rifle when that happens...
I am anal about accuracy and a rifle holding it's zero...Sometimes I think it's a curse...
