I have a Savage model 12BJTV, 223 with 26 inch heavy barrel, 1" in 9" twist, 3rd and last scope-vortex PST 6-24x50 on 20 moa scope mount, with Rifle Basix Sav-2 trigger. I use it for bench only as it is too heavy to carry around for me.[75 yrs old]. I reload and like Sierra, Hornady and Nosler bullets 52gr to 69 grs. Powders: N133, N135, 748, 322 and varget, still working on powder and bullet selection. Best from bench is 0.0276", 5 shots from 100 yards. I really like the rifle and how it shoots, and believe it can get better grouping. Trigger is set at 8 ozs. Can't find out much about BJTV model. Mine is thumbhole.

Now that is a quite remarkable group. Is the decimal point in the right place?
Edit:
I just now realized the date of this post. Pretty funny!

My wife and I have a pair of the Savage 12 BVSS's. Haven't found a load they don't shoot very well - even cheap Rem UMC 50grn JHP's. Not an April Fool's joke, my wife has posted multiple 1/4" groups, best of which was .192".
She's shooting 75grn A-max's from it now, they're pretty happy.

Big Uncle: I didn't proof read close enough, not April fools joke, sorry....should be 0.276".
I would be pleased to shoot the 0.192" group Nomercy448's wife shot. I even have a foam pad I out between my palm and the thumbhole stock to help make my pulse less of an issue. Time is running out for this 75 year old guy to get better but it sure is fun trying.
Again, sorry for the mistake.

That is pretty darn good for a factory rifles shooting handloaded factory bullets. I have had a few mostly-factory light varmint class rigs that would shoot occasional small groups but it is rare to find one that shoots .3 or better aggregates.
Oddly enough a friend had a stock tang safety Ruger M-77 HB chambered in .25-06 that would shoot an occasional .25, but of course it's agg was higher (but still very good). He did work the trigger, shoot custom bullets, and was meticulous at the loading bench. He won a few bets with that rifle! The accuracy finally slipped as the barrel wore and he sold it (thank goodness). It was a strange sight to see him at a local match shooting that freak of nature rig.
