Today I picked up a little brother to my S&W M&P40. It is the .22LR version of the M&P line. It fits the same Fobus holster and its bigger brother and feels almost the same in the hand. A bit lighter. But it has a nice trigger and I can't wait to try it out tomorrow. Plus it's going to be a little cheaper to shoot.

Sounds like a very smart move to me.

Ammo is expensive .................!!!

Yeah, I think my 40 cal cast handloads are about as cheap as 22 ammo anymore

I wouldn't know the cost of factory ammo. I reload and have about a thousand .40s loaded up. But I also have several bricks of .22 LRs that I bought long before this shortage. I guess you might say I had some foresight and bought some every time they were on sale. (Now if I could only do that with the lottery!) This is the 7th .22 LR to go in my safe. 2 pistols, 1 revolver, an M&P 15 black rifle, Rem pump, Win lever and Savage bolt.
.22s are just plain fun for the whole family.
