doesn't matter what you call them, as long as we have them the left knows that they can't force they're sick distorted views of how society is supposed to work on us, they will keep trying to ban them even if we call them feathers.

The only civilian people that I hear calling their rifles, pistols, etc. "weapons" at the wannabe sniper tacticool dudes (duds).

I've known women whose mouths could accurately be described as weapons.

I make a point of NOT using the word "gun". I'm not perfect at avoiding it, but I do make a conscious effort to go back and replace "gun" whenever I type it. Rifle, pistol, revolver, shotgun, firearm....
I do, actually, quite often use the word "weapon" to describe a firearm. "My weapon of choice for coyote hunting" (which is kinda just a vernacular, as I use the saying "weapon of choice" for many things that aren't weapons at all, as in my 'weapon of choice' for cutting trees is a 22" Husqvarna), or "my concealed carry weapon...", which I certainly believe is fitting for the application. Frankly, it's no better than smoking bunkweed to think avoiding the word "weapon" is going to stop ANYONE from coming after your "guns". Again, it's "gun control," not "weapon control". |

GUN CONTROL is a steady aim. Having been in the military has also made me sick of the word WEAPON and camo clothing (pickle suits). GUN is the most appropriate civilian term for something that launches lead from a tube at high rates of speed. I aim (no pun intended) to be a gentleman hunter and law-abiding American armed citizen, not a wannabe tacticool relpi-Rambo. Here are but just some tube-fired lead-launching tools for gents: ![]() |
My simple country lingo calls any handgun I'm carrying "my pistol".
When I'm big game hunting it's "my rifle" I'm carrying. If I'm hunting birds I tote "my shotgun". Back when I was a firearms instructor in law enforcement I used the word "weapon" a lot. Don't have much need for that word anymore. |
