RE: .260 or 7mm-08 for deer?
Well, I drove an hour and a half to the gun shop where I do my shopping. Guess what I came home with?
NOTHING!!!! I still cannot make up my mind.
I guess I have a few months to make the right choice. Thanks for the help!

There really is only one solution...flip a coin, or get both! :-)

RE: .260 or 7mm-08 for deer?
I have a Mdl. 70 Win.Featherweight that I had rebarreled to .260 . The rifle shoots 5 shot groups of Rem 125gr. ballistic tips and 140gr. core-lokt. into one ragged 3/8" hole. My son and another friend have accounted for 1 Antelope, and 4 Whitetails out too 275yds. with the this rifle. This year I was deer hunting in N.Y. and took a six pointer @245 yds. using 140gr. Rem., he went two steps and down.
Dan R, I order .260 ammo from Natchez Shooting Supply in Tenn. and also from a gun shop in N.Y.,. Bass Pro in Ft Lauderdale FL. also stocks .260 ammo...
