Default Thompson Venture Clip

I got a 300 win mag in the thompson venture and would like to purchase a spare clip. Every web site I go to is sold out and not re-orderable. Went to the Thompson web site and they don't offer them that I can find. Anybody got any idea where I might find a clip?

Ok, what I really want is a magazine that holds rifle bullets, shells, etc., that fits a Thompson Venture 300 winmag.

Someone is going to tell you that what you need is a magazine, not a "clip" LOL !!!

I started to define it both ways but I've always called it a clip, that' what John Wayne called them. If you had asked John for a magazine, he would have probably said something like "I don't read".

Sheridan, thanks for the website but their Venture long action magazines are sold out too. thompson Center needs to quit taking the summer off with their Smith & Wesson owners and make some durn parts.

Good article and I stand corrected, never to old to learn nor admit the need for it. And, now I know why John Wayne called it a clip, the M-1 uses a clip to feed the shells into the magazine, like an sks. I also understand that the noise the empty M1 magazine makes when it ejects the clip on the final round got a lot of the good guys killed. In close combat the bad guys knew the M1 was empty when they heard that sound. Thanks for all the info. By the way, I found a magazine for my Venture on Ebay but it was $48 compared to $28 on the other site. Ebay was free shipping.

Almost all my guns have a detachable magazines.

I know there is extra cost involved, but I think it's worth it.

I always carry a full magazine in my pocket,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
