I have been looking into a Browning blr lever action rifle. I was thinking a 300 WSM. I have heard of loading issues with these cartridges, Anyone having problems cycling these into the gun? Thank you

When reloading WSM cases, be sure to lube the inside of the neck well. Otherwise, when pulling the shell out of the resize die, a dry-necked case may actually pull the shoulder up a little, resulting in a case that is hard or impossible to chamber.

I have a 25WSSM and a 270 WSM...reload for both. My 25WSSM is a Browning A-Bold....the 270 is a Tikka. I had a little difficulty at first reloading for both of them...couldn't get them to chamber. After some research I found that they (WSM/WSSM's) often need to have the shoulders "bumped" when reloading. Once I got that figured out I have had no problems what-so-ever.

I dont believe you will have a problem with the 300 WSM. I understand that some of the smaller caliber WSSM's (.25s) have chambering difficulties due to the shoulder design being somewhat flat. I have an A bolt in .325 WSM and have no problems.

I have never experienced cycling issues with either my 25 WSSM (Browning A Bolt) or my 270 WSM (Tikka T-3)...I have heard some people have had issues with the WSSM's (23, 24, 25) but I haven't experienced the problems they report. Browning's have reputation for having smooth cycling actions.
