Howdy
New here and just wanted to say hi. Just got my 'nephew' gun back from the gunsmith and am pretty excited about it. I wanted a bolt gun to go my Savage 99 in 300 savage. Originals were a little hard to find and expensive. I found an old Mossberg 800 in .308 for cheap and had it recut to .300 Savage. My gunsmith looked at me kind of funny when I told him what I wanted but he did the work for $225 (including reamer rental). I can't wait for my oldest nephew to come up this Thanksgiving to go hunting with me.
