Congrats!
If you use it for deer hunting thats great. But if you don't, you will never be sorry you bought the gun. They are a blast to shoot.

I guess maybe I should become more familiar with Ruger's lineup? Apologies - yes, the COMPACT does appear to be a bolt-action.

Nonetheless, I would remain cautious about loading anything above 130 grains.
