I have found two guns that I want.... One is a 1968 Belgium Browning BAR 7mm rem mag and the other is a Ruger No. 1 7mm rem mag. Which on should I get?! The Browning is 600 dollars and the Ruger is 625.

I's take the Bar if it has the deer or elk engravings.I also wanted one of them. good luck

...Both! I personally would take the ruger as I have no hunting use for the BAR. However, for a showpiece, if they are both in good condition either one would be nice to have. Just depends what you want more I suppose.

Care to elaborate? I have a BUNCH of Rugers and I don't understand your post. To the op as much as I like Ruger #1s they're still being made (to my knowledge). I'd go for the browning as it's going to be a lot harder to find.

What is the configuration of the #1 (1-B, 1-S etc.)? How is the furniture...good grain or plain Jane? How is the bluing? What is the year of manufacture? I tend to like #1's a lot, but a BAR ain't half bad either. If the #1 is at all decent, I'd go in that direction though.
