Ordering a T/C Encore???
Well, I've pretty much decided I'm going to have to own one of these rifles. Do you Encore shooters recommend ordering the T/C frame assembly (ie. stock, frame, and forend) and then getting a custom barrel or are the T/C barrels good enough that I should just order a complete gun? If I get a custom barrel, do you recommend one particular custom maker over all others? Finally, are the 24" T/C barrels drilled and tapped for scope bases in addition to having the rifled sights? Thanks.

Try www.virginvalleyfirearms.com or www.foxridgeoutfitters.com .They should be able to answer all of your questions.

I have both. An Encore barrel and a custom one. The Encore is just as good and a lot cheaper. The only reason I bought the custom barrel was because I couldn't get one in .375 Winchester.

I have one of each and I like both of them. I purchase a pistol barrel from Virgin Valley and I am very pleased with. I also have a factory encore rifle barrel that I am please with. As far as the 24" rifle barrels, they are tapped for a scope and have iron sight.

Bighorn75...I have T/C barrles and one from Virgin Valley, they all shoot good! The only thing you might want to do is get a trigger job for the Encore frame. My trigger came from the factory at 5lb. I sent it off to Virgin Valley...now it's set to 2 1/2lb. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
