Default sling options for 7600 rem

Just bought a Rem 7600 synthetic was wondering why the reciever extension bolt attach point is for 1968 and older and 1969 and newer uses a barrel band. there is a reciever bolt sling on the police rifle. Read somewhere that when they made the barrel free floating post 68 the extension will loosen up if the sling attached to it. DNZ scope mount and 4X leupold on top

I HATE the idea of the barrel band, but I don't want to bend the gun up either.

Yeah I decided to go with a barrel band set up as the link says. I don't want to cause any extra wear on the action bars. I like the non barrel band look a lot better though.

NYH1!
