If your trying to improve your shooting, use full.
Then you don't shoot trap either very much nor often. For you just said that you would never use either modified or full for a high score and then turn around and say to have a high score to use a full choke!!!!! Which is it and what do you use and how are your scores? I shoot fast and can barely keep a decent score from the 16 with an I/C tube, muchless a skeet tube!!!! And I shoot AA class Registered Trap.
I have shot registered trap for over 30 years and for 3 different companys and have never shot anything other than other tubes Briley Improved Modified,16-22yd or Full for 24yd-27yd in my Perazzi or Beretta.
My Kolar is using Wrights Superior chokes of the basic same dimensions. When we only had fixed chokes I used a Winchester 101 Diamond Grade with Mod over full chokes or my dads Model 12 Trap grade with a light full fixed choke.
