Default Itch scratched...my "new" gun

Had an itch for another rifle and I've posted question about ammo, scopes, bases, and stuff for it. Well I have it pretty much done.

Got a Winchester Model 70 stainless featherweight in 6.5x55.
Came with a substandard plastic stock so I replaced it with a Hogue overmolded stock with the sporter contour and the full aluminum bed. The fit is really good and I think I'm gonna like the stock. Kinda makes it a little heavier though, but at least it will kick less. Wasn't gonna kick much with the Swede anyway. I have a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 attached to the gun with Leupold dual-dovetail bases and Leupold low mount rings. I got one of those rubber Quake rifle slings.

I'm really psyched about hunting with the 6.5x55 Swede and this gun makes a perfect back-up/swap-off gun for my Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in 7mm-08.

I dont know why winchester stopped making the model 70 in that chambering but according to the web site its not offered any longer.

Ive looked at the model 70 and im 99% sure its gonna be my next rifle.

That is a fine rifle, and the 6.5 Swede is a very under appreciated cartridge as well, congrats!
