Default Browning X-bolt

is it really worth the extra 300 dollars to get the stainless barrel, i can get the matte blued barrel 7mm for 699, and the stainless costs 989 both at the same store and neither of them are on sale, how is stainless steel worth 300 dollars?

well i am sure that i will say yes as well, but come on 300 dollars for stainless steel, that is a little bit ridiculous in my opinion but i guess it really does not matter unless i decide to go with a tikka t3 stainless for just over 600 i will just have to fork over the extra bucks to get the X-bolt in stainless.

I was all set to get a stainless X-Bolt until I ran across a NIB X-Bolt Hunter for $585. Since I already had a stainless big game rifle I put the extra cash in a Zeiss Conquest.

It depends on how much money your willing to spend and what You are using the Rifle for?The stainless steel may hold up better and last longer in any harsh weather and look really cool with a matching stainless scope, but if You plan on using it to Hunt...personally I like a low luster blued barrel and a matte-black set of rings and scope to conceal the gun from any harsh glare/reflecting from the sun!

Do some looking on Gunbroker, I just picked up a NIB Xbolt Stainless Stalker in .280Rem for $690. The guy on the phone told me it was their everyday price.

give them a call!! I was very happy with my transaction, as I'd wondered the same thing about Browning's pricing of their stainless models.
