I am looking at these two rifles in 7mm Rem mag, i like both of them a lot, and i can get them for about the same price right around 900, i just want some opinions on which one you guys think is the better rifle for hunting. Or should i just go with one of there cheaper but still very good siblings like the tikka t3 or the a-bolt and call it good?

I like the A7 but I like the X-Bolt a little better. I compared and handled both and ultimately went the Browning. It just felt better to me.

Actually, I brought the Sako A7 Stainless in 7MM Rem Mag before I brought my X-Bolt Stainless Stalker in .338 Win Mag.


I wish all my rifles were "as good" as my X- Bolt (Keeping in mind that's IMO).

Sako A7. I looked at them both and the A7 felt better and that is the one I bought.

Liked both, bought one of each. Like Chevy vs. Ford. They both have pros and cons. Got the A7 Stainless in .300WSM and the XBolt Stainless Stalker in .280.
