Being as the 17 Hornady Rimfire wasn't available to the general public last summer, I am sure you are talking about the 17 Rem which is a centerfire round. Unless of course your Granddad is a gunwriter or is friends with one.

You know the particulars of the gun 3D??? It don't extract or eject shells. It does shoot, however.
