Warbirdlover,

Did you shoot that toy yet? If so, how was it? I was looking at the 30-06 model with a Nikon Buckmaster 9x40 at Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday. The gum seems to be well balanced. The bottom discharge through the floor plate is nice touch as well. I think I'm going to pick up at Xmas. At $560, seems to be a good deal.

My deceased FIL flew P-38's in the Pacific in WWII and I "used" to design them for Microsoft's Flight Simulator (PC). I love the old warbirds so that has been my online title for years. Check out this Hellcat I designed and animated (using special software). Our partner in Greece paints them. This was a big seller. It's a hobby or rather was.

How much more recoil do you feel between the .243 & 7-08 ?

I also have the 700 SPS in .243 very accurate and a pleasure to shoot

I'm going nuts trying to get out and shoot it. It's tough to do at X-Mas time. Probably won't get it done until after New Years....

jeepkid, buy Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2004 and I'll give you the planes to load into the game.
