ok..so i have my 06' sighted dead on at 25 yards.ballistics say that it should hit 3 inches high at 100 yards and be dead on again at 200 to about 250
.Problem is i dont shoot that far!with a scope that says 1 click equals 1/4 inch @ 100 yards how do i get it sighted in dead on at 100 if sighted in at 25. as in how many click do i need to move it. up,down,or side to side? and how high would it be at 50yards thank you guys and girls so much.

One thing about dialing the scope, is if you are using a cheap scope, that often don't move exactly the amount they claim they should, and ontop of that they aren't repeatable. So I'd play around at the range and make sure your scope is moving where it should, and also see where you need to move it, before you start trying to dial in for longer ranges.

Just got my 06 sighted in at 100 yards a week ago and I've watched several others do it the same way. Start with a large enough target on the hundred yard range to see where it's hitting and then start making the scope adjustments till your getting real close to the bull. At that point, fine tune where it's hitting with a click or two in whatever direction you need to move the point of impact to get it on dead center. Then move to the 200 yard range and find out how much holdover you need to hit the bulls eye there. I shoot three shot strings so the barrel doesn't get too hot and shoot the .204 while the 06 cools down--------
