what would are differences in performance between the Mosberg 500 And the Mossberg Maverick 88 beside the low price of the second (88).

Couldn' t tell you about performance. I do know they have a synthetic stock and are only available in 12 gauge. They only come with a modified choke tube too.

Well, I called MOSBERG today and they said NO difference between two guns beside the safty lock which is down in the 88, also the parts are interchangable for both guns. The main difference is with the worenty wich is " 10 years for the 500 "
but only " 1 year for the 88" .
