My son recently gave me a Maverick 88. It is made by Mossberg and is a cylinder bore 12 gauge in pump action. Any feedback with respect to use in hunting and with slugs is welcome. I intend to use it as a house gun and also for small game and deer.

Ive had forarm stocks break shooting 3" slugs.Id stick with 23/4 for that reason.

I dont know much about choke systems but have used this before. In the meantime I will use the cylinder bore bare for squirrels and rabbits at short ranges. THANKS for the input
