I own and CC a Glock 19, in a Crossbreed Supertuck IWB holster. Couldn't be happier. I often forget I'm wearing my gun after its been there for a few hours. I'm a big guy, 6'1" around 280 and have no problem consealing a 4" Glock. I've got over 1000 rounds through the gun, and never once has it FTF/FTE. If you want something smaller in 9mm check out the Glock 26, highly recommended.

I don't know your experience level with handguns ,So I really can't be sure .I will say a good snubbie revolver like the model 60 Smith (or better one of the shrouded models) it ALWAYS works.The ruger LCP can be had for $300.00 or less NIB.My Model 60 is a .357 but you can always use the .38s if you are recoil sensitive.I mostly carry the Smith in warmer weather.Colder weather 99% of the time a full size Kimber.As far as "sight picture" the guy that makes the Seecamp pistols(no sights) says"If you need sights you are to far away". JMHO

S&W 638 or similar revolver. I've been required to carry off-duty for the last 15 years, and just recently purchased this one. With my bigger auto, I would often leave it in the truck due to the bulk, but I can carry this on my hip or ankle and forget it's there. I've got speedloaders, but in reality it will all be over in 3-5 shots at close distance (based on stats), and a revolver should not fail you.

I was having the same decision to make as you. I just bought a Taurus PT709 which is a 9mm last Thursday. I ran a couple of clips through it on Saturday and I think I made a good decision. I think it is classified as a sub compact, it has a stainless slide, holds 7 + 1, paid $ 359 for it. I used to have a Sig Sauer 220 45 cal but it was too big for me to conceal easily. The reason I went with a 9mm instead of a .380 is because the 9mm shells are cheaper and easier to find. I would recommend you check one of these out.

I just went thru the same situation you are in. I have a G23 and thought it was to bulky for me to carry all the time.

I looked into snubby and bought the Ruger LCR 38spcl+p. The trigger is about 150% better then anything S&W offers and the gun is extremely light. I drop this gun into my front pocket of my jeans instead of going the holster route. It is a lot more comfortable to carry all day. I purchased the gun for $399 which seems to be the normal price for the gun at most places.

Do your best to handle as many options as possible. Remember 380 ammo aint cheap. From all the research I have done I found that the G19 is about the most popular carry choice out there. Its the same gun as my G23 and it just a bit too big for me to have with me all day.

Whats perfect for me may not the same for the next guy so check out as many as you can.
