I don't know your experience level with handguns ,So I really can't be sure .I will say a good snubbie revolver like the model 60 Smith (or better one of the shrouded models) it ALWAYS works.The ruger LCP can be had for $300.00 or less NIB.My Model 60 is a .357 but you can always use the .38s if you are recoil sensitive.I mostly carry the Smith in warmer weather.Colder weather 99% of the time a full size Kimber.As far as "sight picture" the guy that makes the Seecamp pistols(no sights) says"If you need sights you are to far away". JMHO
