Consider/look at the Zeiss Conquest. IMO better optical value then the Leupold VXIII. If outside your budget then consider a nikon, burris, etc, or reconsider bushnell the elite series. 4200 elite can be found online for some great prices and it's a pretty nice piece of glass.

For what a Zeiss conquest costs today you can get far more clarity, brightness and color in something else. A 3.5-10X50 with a duplex runs $750 now.
You didn't say what your budget is but I will assume you don't have a ton to spend.
Burris fullfield II (my first choice in a budget scope)
Bushnell 3200 or 4200
Sightron SII
Nikon buckmaster
Leupold VXII
Don't get hung up on magnification or huge objective lenses. A simple 3-9X40 will do everything that you will ever need it to do. You can step up into better glass and lens coatings and end up with a brighter and clearer scope with a 3-9X40 than one with high magnification and/or large objective lens and not spend any more money.
