Default Hollow Points

I've used 140 gr. bullets in my 7MM-08 for several years with no complaints.

I have a box of 120 gr. JHP and wondered what experiences others have had with these on Whitetails.

I've loaded 120sps in my 7mmRM to ~7mm-08 velocities. Only shot one deer with it, a doe at 200yds or so. No complaints.

I don't have a 7mm-08, but do rely on hollow JHP for just about any game with I reload. It's kind of like the 30:06 rifle. It works well on just about anything you want to hunt. I'm reload Sierra's in 308 Win. for medium game and 6mm Rem for varmints. Never been disappointed with this bullet.

Depends...Some hollow points are designed with thicker jackets and harder cores so they can actually penetrate better that some soft points...This is one reason the Sierra 85gr GameKing HPBT is such a devestating deer bullet...

What hollow points are they???
