I' ve never really sat down and looked at one, but I' ve always heard that the bbls in handi-rifles are quick-change, like the T/C Encore (or I should say the T/C is like them), I didn' t notice that they' d be " easily" or " quickly" interchanged, just looking at them, and I' ve never seen extra bbls for the Handi' s, why is that, or are they even " easily and quickly" interchangeable?

Well I think they are easy to change. You take out the forearm screw, remove the forearm, open the action and remove the barrel, put the new barrel on, close the action, put the forearm on and replace the screw. The reason you don' t see any barrels for sale is because they are fitted to the frame at the factory. To buy a new barrel you send the receiver back to H&R/NEF. Personally I think that the only reason for this is to try and keep someone from sticking a high pressure cartridge barrel on a shotgun frame. At any rate they are great rifles for the price. I just wish I could find someone to build me a 375 Win barrel. BTW, the website is www.hr1871.com go to the accessory barrel link.
