Guns Like firearms themselves, there's a wide variety of opinions on what's the best gun.

Is it time to adjust how I think

I wasn't trying to make this into a 243 lovefest or a hate fest for that matter.
I've killed deer with at least 10 or 12 different rounds, not counting different bullet weights and type. I know that changing bullets can change performance so maybe I
wrote the 243 off prematurely.
I've just being seeing tons of pro 243 threads and posts so which made me think that
maybe I should dust of mine and give it another try.

given the appropriate distance, and the appropriate load for the appropriate critter...the rest is all about the trigger puller...

know lots of people who use .243 for elk, and BIG bulls...(attached pic)

99+% of the time it is the shooter at fault not the load being used...too far away for the load, too far away considering the game being sought etc. etc. etc.

Corelokt bullets get a bad wrap! I shot a 262 pound black bear 2 weeks ago and a 150grn made a complete pass through? Im a bow hunter.have limited intell on rifle cartrages. But imo "placement placement placement"
