maybe I should dust of mine and give it another try.

given the appropriate distance, and the appropriate load for the appropriate critter...the rest is all about the trigger puller...

know lots of people who use .243 for elk, and BIG bulls...(attached pic)

99+% of the time it is the shooter at fault not the load being used...too far away for the load, too far away considering the game being sought etc. etc. etc.
