This gun i bought the other week from a good friend of mine because my son thought he had to have it, well recoil has changed his mind. this gun only has a few hundred rounds thru it. And is in very nice condition. Comes with a new set of Reloading Dies and 50 Shell Cases and a box of unfired shells. Scope isnt the best but works well, Its a Charles Daly 3-9-40 also comes with a nice leather sling. Looking for 575.00 OBO FTF transfer Or Willing to Ship to a FFL. Or looking to trade for a 22-250 or 243 Savage or Tikka T3.

It's a nice rifle.
You know, you could have a grind-to-fit Limbsaver or Pachmahr recoil pad installed which will soften the recoil substantially over the hard rubber butt plate that's currently installed. Remington may also offer their new Supercell pad in a pre-fit form that you just screw on. I have the Supercell pad on my M700 LSS in .257 Wby Mag, and it feels like a stiff .243 or .25-06. I also put Limbsaver pads on my rifles and they work very well.
Then there's always the reduced recoil ammo.
If you want to sell the gun, that's your option, of course. But I just thought I'd suggest an alternative that could be less costly in the end.
