Default POI mag in verses mag out

I've got a fairly new Sako 85 in 338 federal. I've recently put the action in a 75 stock, bedded it in (was more work than it 1st appeared). I was curious if I somehow lost the mag if the gun would still hit the same POI. In the factory stock the answer was no and the group opened up to about 4" @ 100. In the new stock POI just shifts to 3" high @12 oclock but the group holds). Anyone else try this in other guns, just sort of seems strange that a action bedded in would end up shooting so different witht the mag in and out

........You've got something touching somewhere with the mag in, it sounds like to me. Putting pressure someplace it isn't with the mag out. How hard are you tightening the action screws? I would try about 40 in.lbs. and see if that changes things.....
