I would have to go with WBY .300 mag 180 grain Rem. CoreLokt I suppose. I've always subscribed to the "bigger is better" way of thinking. Going to start using .270 WSM this year to get some cheaper ammo.
Bigger is better? Always? To each his own.... You can have Rosie O'Donnell and I'll take Salma Hayek.

Rosie O'Donnell... damn! hehehe
I'll have to agree, bigger aint always better.
I like the 7mm-08 or the 30-06. Both launching Hornady Light Magnums, 139gr. and 165gr.SST respectivley.

Depends on what gun I'm holding that day. 257 Roberts 117 gr btsp or 90 gr bthp, 6.5x55 140 gr interlok, 270 WSM 130 gr ballistic tip, 30-06 180 gr ballistic silver tip, 35 Whelen 200 gr interlok. That's all for deer. If the opportunity for larger game came up I'd be doing some load development for the Interbond, Accubond, Partition and maybe the the new tipped TBBC's. Perhaps even the triple shocks.

My other brother uses a .280 and his son uses a 7mm-08, both with factory 140gr CoreLokts...Between them they have killed another 150 or so...
Once you pile up those deer you can't tell which caliber did the killing...Dead is Dead...
Frankly the deer my cousin shoots with his .270 WSM run farther than others, but he ain't much of a shot...

I have to many favorite ones to really say, but I reckon if I had to choose just one it would be my rem 30-06 shooting 165gr serria bthp pushed by 56.5gr of IMR 4350. This is the first rifle that I ever bought many many years ago and the last one that I would ever part with.
