Federal Vital-Shok 85 gr BTHP

Anybody got any input on using theFederal Vital-Shok85 gr BTHP on whitetails? Im hearing good things. Keep in mind, Im in SC, and not likely tosee any monsters in my crosshairs. Thanks in advance.

I wish Federal would go back to listing what bullet they were putting in their cartridges...If that's what I think it is then it's the 85gr Sierra GameKing HPBT...In that case, it's an excellent bullet for whitetails...I've killed at least 30 deer with it and a couple of buddies have killed another 25 or so...
It's my bean field bullet...Sight in 2 1/2 - 3 inches high at 100 yards and you'll be about 2 1/2 - 3 low at 300 yards...
Don't let the term hollow point scare you...This is a harder bullet than some soft points...The jacket is thicker and core harder...

I'm pretty sure that load is loaded with the Sierra Gameking bullet. That bullet is arguably the deadliest deer bullet available in .243 caliber. Get some and see how they shoot IN YOUR rifle. If they meet your accuracy standards, go for it without worry.
