My reason for asking is that i am in the market for a new varmit gun. my current single shot 223 just isnt filling the bill anymore. I came across a Browning Abolt 2 WSSM 223 with exactly 8 rounds through the pipe for a good deal. well actually a trade for one of my sigs. But anyways i dont know much about these guns, ive read that they have the same ballistics as a 22-250. And also heard they have problems burning up the barrels, but that is only with handloads. i dont ever intend to hand load. Im just going to be using it for varmits. Would this be a good round for my intentions, and what are some pro;s and cons i should be aware off. also is ammo more expensive than the reg 223?? thankyou in advance for all you inputs.

I have quite a bit of experience with Browning A-bolt rifles, and can TOTALLY recommend them as I have several of them. The .223 wsm round is going to die off soon so ammo will be hard to find at some later date. You can shoot all your life without wearing the barrel out. If you have that kind of money to shoot thousands and thousands of factory rounds, you'll have the money for a simple barrel change later.
