Our Cabela's in Wheeling, WV just ran a special on the Remington rifle with a scope mounted. They mounted one of their proprietary scopes on the rifles. The scope was not a high quality scope, but it was not the junk model like Savage uses.
Where did you buy the rifle?? Is it a factory scope, or was it put on by the seller?? Tom.

Bushnell, Simmons, Redfield and Tasco (and some others) are all one and the same at this point(model per model). They are all owned and operated out of the same business(holding company) NOW THAT BEING SAID.
There are somedecent scopes from all 4 IF YOU Stay on the upper end of the glass and prices. BUT the one you have on your 700 is basically a 22 scope with a parralex of a high power rifle scope(100yards set) and nothing more. They will not hold zero under normal hunting conditions, such as bangs, dings, drops, most high recoil, and fogging, etc.
