RE: 7 MM Rem Mag or 30-06
If it was ME,I'd pick the 7mm rem mag. Both will do anything you need but the 7 mag with 140 gr bullets will kick a bit less.

RE: 7 MM Rem Mag or 30-06
3000fps
Maybe a little more damage with the 06, but thats because I shoot 165gr serria hpbt out of it. They expand more than the 140gr accubonds out of my 7 mag. I always try to shoot right behind the shoulder, that save a bunch of meat. The ole 06 has been around for over 100 years and has taken about any game that you can think of, its really hard to beat that round. |

RE: 7 MM Rem Mag or 30-06
700 BDL both of them. Bought my 06 when I was 16, had my grandpa get it out of the layaway for me. Bought my 7mg when I was 21. I'm 44 now. Had them both a long time. I had my 7mag glass bedded several years ago. It improved the accuracy down to 1/2 groups at a 100 yards. It shot just under an inch before I had the bedding done. My 06 has always been a shooter, I have two targets that I kept, five shot groups and a quarter will cover the holes. I dont think anyone could ask for any more.
