Default 7 MM Rem Mag or 30-06

hello All I have decided to go with the Remington CDL-SF.I like Browning but in these hard time wanna buy American. It will be used for deer,Most shots somewhere around 150 yds.One place i hunt had a possibility of 400
yds,but 80% hunting done at shorter ranges.I have shot a stainless stalker with boss so how much more recoil will it be with no boss? Which of these calibers would suit me best Also do anyone have aCDL-SF or used one?
If so how did it look and work

400 yards and below, go with the 30-06 it wont' hesitate on any deer at that range. The 7 mag won't shine over it till passed that. There is a wider ammo selection for the 30-06 and its cheaper.

Flip a coin between the two calibers. I have a 700 CDL in .270 Winchester that has turned out to be a very accurate rifle.

The 7 will kick a bit more but not enough to be concerned unless you're sensitive to recoil. If I HAD to choose between ONLY those two I'd go with the 7.

There isn't a whole lot of difference between the two.The 7mmremmag will shoot slightly flatter, with slightly more recoil.

Bernie Ive shot 7 before but was with the boss and never even noticed the recoil, but if close the 270 or 280 range or abit more no problem

Naturally I like the Browning for it's better design-regardless of it not being built in usa. Honestly I don't believe you NEED anything bigger than a 7mm08 or .270/.280 for deer out to 400 yards-ESPECIALLY if you're concerned about recoil levels. Check out the 7mm08-it'll do anything you'll ever need on deer within reasonable range.
