favorite .22 cal plinker
Hey folks looking to get opinions on my next spiff. What is your favorite (out of the box) rifle in .22 cal for either plinking or varminting? It can be a lever, bolt or semi that is very reliable and accurate out of the box. Anyone who has purchased one lately, how much? Is a .22 magnum worth considering or just the LR?

RE: favorite .22 cal plinker
Hey there.... along those lines... I just bought my son a Mossberg Semi-Auto Plinkster for shooting starling around the barn... and being that we're within a certain jurisdiction, we're only allowed shot, not single projectile... so, I bought some .22 LR Bird Shot,BUT they won't eject from the magazine after the first shot... needless to say, we're all a little dissappointed (especially my son)... so I won't give a glowing report for the Plinkster, even though it's dirt cheap, right out of the box, and who cares if he outgrows it in a couple of years (we took it elsewhere and experimented with regular ammo, and it worked perfectly though).
