12 or 20 gauge slug gun ?

Personally, I think the 20 gauge has all the power and accuracy you need without the extra weight and recoil of the 12 gauge. My friend has an H&R 20 gauge single shot- deadly accurate, plenty of power and the recoil isn't bad. On the other hand, if you can handle the extra recoil from the 12 gauge, it certainly will get the job done.

With all the improvments we've witnessed in the last few years, ballistically, they're about equal as long as you are comparing sabot slugs. If comparing the older foster type slugs, the 12 gauge wins. In THEORY ONLY,the 20 gauge should be a tad more accurate due to the thinner sabots, but if it is,I havn't witnessed it. Go forth and slay your targets knowing you'll be able to stay with almost any slug gun.

yeah i think it is all opinions really. my friend has a 20 gauge and it is lighter and less recoil and feels a little better than my 12 but if you dont mind recoil a 12 is great. personally i like recoil
